Forty years ago, Pops Dahlstrom and Hub Goyen Junior understood what a difference the right resources can make for a young person's future. We care about providing Mesa's kids with those resources.

We have all made successful careers through our exposure to the world of golf.
We have decades of experience teaching golf, managing golf courses, and parenting kids.
All the staff of Pops and Jr. found belonging and purpose through access to golf.
Hope & A Future is very excited that we have a partnership with Pops and Jr. Youth Golf. Our foster youth have been receiving the Ultimate Golf Experience on one of the nicest golf courses. Pops and Jr. Youth Golf has been providing golf clubs, golf lessons/ clinics, and very tasty food on the 4th Saturday of each month for our foster youth.
Hope & A Future works with foster youth in Phoenix, Arizona. Many of the foster youth have never had a chance to experience the sport of Golf so when Pops and Jr. Youth Golf reached out with the idea of a partnership, we could not say no.
We are extremely grateful for what Pops and Jr. Youth Golf has done for our foster youth and kids. They have even hired a few of our foster youth to work with them which has been an incredible opportunity many of our foster youth would never had been able to experience.
Pops and Jr. Youth Golf has made many connections and has inspired some of the foster youth to get more involved with the sport and we look forward to even more connections down the road.

Finding Safe, Positive, & Supportive Activities for Kids is Difficult & Expensive
Most parents and guardians struggle to find safe, positive, and affordable activities for their kids. We developed a free, youth golf program where all kids are encouraged, and supported, valued, and empowered.
When kids are valued and connected in the community, they thrive.
At Pops and Junior Youth Golf, we know that you want to empower your kids to lead full and happy lives. In order to do that, they need access to scarce and often expensive opportunities.
The problem is, many parents and guardians simply don't have the access or the resources which makes them feel hopeless. We believe that all kids should be able to play and have fun in a supportive environment, surrounded by positivity and optimism.
We understand the power that access to the right resources can make in the life of any kid, which is why we tap into our 40+ years in the golf industry and our dedication to Mesa's kids to provide free clinics and activities for all kids.

The Pops & Jr. Youth Golf Program is one of the most innovative and inspirational of these new programs, offering fun and complimentary lessons, games, free golf clubs, encouragement and inclusion.
The Pops & Jr. Youth Golf Program is an exciting new program created to celebrate the legacy of Pops Dahlstrom and Hub Goyen Jr., two men dedicated to teaching kids from every walk of life the game of golf; not solely with the purpose that they would someday get a scholarship, or make the tour, but also to give them A Pathway To A World Of Opportunity.
